This book is not just about cross-country statistics. It contains true stories of runners that being the race results to life. Many of these young runners, myself included, experienced extremely challenging life experiences - single-parent homes, poverty, and language barriers to name a few. Our love for the sport became a lifechanging journey, resulting in fond memories and lifelong friendships. Today's young runners may find themselves in similar situations.
